Meet The Faculty 1: Kaffy

Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau better known as ‘Kaffy’ is a Nigerian youth from the city of Lagos who has a great passion for setting a goal and seeing it through. And this has led her to be one of the most influential youth of the country. Her drive towards success despite great setbacks in her life contributed immensely in various activities she has been involved in Her passion for dance is inborn. Her urge for being different has revolutionalized dance since she started professionally in 2002 within the span of 3months and today she stands as a role model for a lot of youth not just in dance but for what her personality represents which are determination, dedication and commitment in what one endeavours as long as it has a positive impact to the society we live in. 



Kaffy has contributed immensely to the entertainment industry. She has performed and coordinated various events, some of which include - Launching of LORNEAMED, makers of TURA coordinated the fashion show - MTN Y’ELLO SHOW choreographed 13 artistes - Indian High Commission and Golfers party , performed Indian and Nigerian songs - V’mobile basketball championship, coordinated cheerleading dance performance for 34 games - Best of fans MTN, coordinated cheerleading dance performance - Silverbird’s Rhythm Unplugged and 50th Anniversary -Dance Performance alongside SHALAMAR - African women’s championship coordinated cheerleading performance - Several music videos, with stars like Adewale Ayuba, Lexydoo, Sunny Nneji, Ruggedman, P-Square, to mention a few - Judge for Always keep moving dance competitions Nigeria & South Africa - Judge for Various dance competitions - Guest speaker for various talk shows, workshops and seminars - Judge for Malta Guinness Street Dance Competition 2 seasons ’08, ’09 & ‘10 - Chief Choreographer of the Stage Act Tagged ‘High School Music Africa Stage Concert’ 2010 

Her most recent and remarkable feat was when she led a group of 29 Nigerians in breaking the GUINESS WORLD RECORD for THE LONGEST DANCE PARTY. She and her team broke the existing record of 52 hrs 4mins at 53 hrs 40mins. Her strong personality that has the power to influence other people especially in areas where they feel they cannot achieve great things is a force to reckon with and it shouldn’t go unsupported to contribute to the growth of this country.
